Background: Combining more than 30 years experience, brothers Chris and
Roc Roney founded Crescent Rock Inc. in 1995 in hopes of providing a
unique experience that brings the builder in on the ground floor of
planning and design. Specializing in high-end custom homes, Crescent Rock
Inc., believes that the owner/builder relationship is the most important
factor in any project. Crescent Rock projects are featured in mostly north
Chicago neighborhoods including Old Town, River North, Lincoln Park,
Wicker Park and more.
Philosophy: Crescent Rock's goal is to improve with every project they
complete making sure they are always learning and finding more efficient
and cost effective ways to build. One of the biggest points of difference
from other builders is their willingness to be engaged and hands on with
every aspect of a client's project. While most homeowners will start with
an architect for design and then bring it to the builder to develop,
Crescent Rock hopes to begin with a client and their architect. In fact,
Crescent Rock will even help their clients find an architect. The hope is
that by collaborating at this stage, the architect and builder will be
able to put together a project that can be executed from the page to the
build out. Crescent Rock stays hands on with a client through all phases
of a project to keep the client educated and updated on the best practices
and materials to use to keep the project and costs on task. The company
will be on-site for construction management including bringing on the best
engineers, contractors and environmental consultants to a project.
Projects: The mission of Crescent Rock is to build and develop quality
homes that retain their value and stand out in the crowd. They want their
homes to be recognized for their quality in all aspects including the
level of finish, the scope of the project and the level of design.
Crescent Rock's projects vary in style from neo-classical to frontline
modernist contemporary and landmark historic gut restorations. Their
latest projects have taken them into the green aspect of building and they
are currently working on one of the largest green home projects in
Chicago.
